This website is dedicated to the other places in and around London which you wouldn't look twice at but have their own fascinating history.
There are over 100 locations researched, photographed, and published here, and I have tried to break these down into five different categories:
The movie locations detail locations used in such cult films such as A Clockwork Orange, The Long Good Friday, and Lock Stock and Two Smoking barrels.
You will find in the TV section places used in cult series like Minder, and The Sweeney; and also where the Big Brother house is.
The music locations feauture where some of the most influencial groups including Pink Floyd, The Sex Pistols, and The Beatles have played, stayed, and recorded their music in London.
The crime locations section details where the most infamous crimes occured in the city including the Brinks Mat and Curtain Road robberies, and where the Krays plied their trade.
The antics of Valerio Viccei, a serial bank and saftey deposit box robbery during the 80's are also in here.
There are also locations here where trully hurrendous crimes have happened; notably the former John Christie house in Ladbroke Grove, and the Jack the Ripper killings in Whitechapel. Let me make it clear this is not a morbid website and these locations have been researched, photographed and now published with respect to all those who were victims and those who live in these areas now.
The other locations just didn't fit into any of the above but are equally as unique and interesting such as Stompie the tank in Bermondsey, the Cans Festival in Waterloo, and our heritage around Docklands.
If you have any other ideas for locations that can be published on this website please email me, I might also publish your email in the feedback section.
